Tight Spot, Wide View

from $75.00

I took this photo because this spot is one of my favorite places to wake up. It’s a tight little pull-off on Baker Lake — only a single-unit rig like my Kimbo can squeeze into it — but stepping out of the camper at sunrise and seeing the mist drift across the water is worth every bit of the squeeze. The calm surface, the low fog clinging to the tree line, and the soft pink light hitting the clouds all feel like the kind of moment you only get when you stay right on the edge of the lake. This shot is simply me trying to hold onto what it feels like to stand there first thing in the morning.
